The legalisation of cannabis for recreational and medical use in most US states has led to increased consumption, including more potent products. While many individuals benefit from cannabis use, approximately 22% develop cannabis use disorder, experiencing physical, mental, and social impacts. Harm reduction approaches for cannabis use disorder need further research and definition to address the associated risks and support patient-centred care.
